Modesto, California · Workers' Compensation
Modesto Workers' Comp Lawyer
A Modesto worker can contact the firm to discuss a California workers' compensation matter. Start with a dated injury or exposure record that separates the worksite, employer, medical records, and claim notices. The firm's office is in Palmdale, and representation is decided after an individual assessment.

Prepared by Yazdchi Law
A workers' compensation claim is easier to explain when the injury or exposure timeline is separate from the addresses on letters. A Modesto resident may work at more than one site, see a provider elsewhere, and receive mail from a claims administrator outside Stanislaus County. Start by making one dated record of what happened, where it happened, and which document supports each event.
Our office is in Palmdale. Contact us at (661) 273-1780 or use the contact form to discuss a Modesto workers' compensation matter and the arrangements that may apply if the firm accepts representation. Whether the firm can take a matter is decided after an individual assessment.

Build a dated injury or exposure record
For one accident, the record may begin with the event. For symptoms that developed over time, begin with the duties, work locations, and dates when symptoms were noticed or reported. Do not rely only on the address printed on a claim letter. That address may identify an administrator, not the place of injury, the employer's worksite, or the worker's residence.
| Date or period | Location and event | Record to keep |
|---|---|---|
| First incident, symptom, or suspected exposure | Specific jobsite, task, equipment, or repeated duty | Personal timeline, witness name if known, and any incident report |
| Notice to employer | Who received the report and when | DWC-1 form, email, text, or other report record |
| Medical visit or work-status change | Provider and restrictions or treatment recommendation | Appointment record and work-status report |
| Time missed or modified work | Actual schedule, duties, and wages | Pay stubs, schedules, and written job offer if any |
| Claim communication | Claim number, sender, and issue stated | Every page of the letter and its envelope |
Example only: A Modesto resident who works shifts at two different job locations can list each location and the duties performed there, then record the date symptoms were first reported and the date a doctor issued restrictions. That timeline is more useful than describing the entire claim as a "Modesto case." It can help separate a worksite question from a medical, wage, or claim-notice question.
Use official DWC resources for the claim process
The Division of Workers' Compensation, or DWC, provides government information about benefits, forms, and procedures. It is separate from the firm. On September 28, 2026, the official DWC ZIP code locator returned the Lodi district office for Modesto ZIP code 95350. The result identifies a district office serving that ZIP code. Recheck the locator for another ZIP code or a changed address.
The Lodi district office lists its address as 3021 Reynolds Ranch Pkwy, Suite 130, Lodi, CA 95240, and lists a main number of (209) 948-7759. The office page says it has an Information and Assistance Unit. The statewide Information and Assistance Unit provides public information on workers' compensation rights, benefits, obligations, forms, and procedures. Its Information Services Center is listed at 1-800-736-7401.
The ZIP locator does not decide venue for every claim. Labor Code section 5501.5 includes the employee's residence at filing, the county of alleged injury, and for cumulative trauma or occupational disease, the last alleged injurious exposure among possible filing bases. The statute also addresses an attorney's principal business location under stated conditions and an employer-objection process. Keep the residence, employer, jobsite, and exposure records separate instead of assuming a Modesto address assigns a court.

Employment support after restrictions change
If work restrictions lead you to look for another job or training, Stanislaus County Workforce Development is a government employment resource. It is not a DWC office, a workers' compensation claims administrator, or a place that decides benefits. Its current job-seeker page lists self-directed services such as job-search computer access, resume and cover-letter printing, employment assessments, and career exploration without program enrollment.
The county lists its Modesto workforce contact at 251 E. Hackett Road, C-2, Modesto, CA 95358, (209) 558-2100. It lists additional assisted career services and training information with eligibility requirements. Confirm current services and location details directly with the county before going. Keep questions about a workers' compensation claim, medical treatment, or benefit payment with DWC, the claim administrator, or qualified legal help.
Match the document to the current problem
A written denial, a treatment decision, a smaller wage-replacement payment, and a final medical report do not call for the same records. The claim-denial guide explains what to preserve when the claim itself is disputed. The medical-care guide addresses the separate treatment path. If payments stop or change, the payment-change guide can help identify the benefit and notice that need attention.
Bring the timeline, DWC-1 form, current medical and work-status records, claim letters, payment records, and any work offer to a consultation. The California workers' compensation consultation checklist can help organize the file. Contact (661) 273-1780 or use the contact form to discuss whether the firm can assess a Modesto workers' compensation matter.
