Stockton Workers' Comp Lawyer

A Stockton worker can contact the firm to discuss a California workers' compensation matter. Language help for a DWC call, a disability accommodation for a DWC service, and communication at a medical appointment are separate questions. The firm's office is in Palmdale, and representation is decided after an individual assessment.

Language help can mean different things in a workers' compensation claim. A phone call about benefits, a DWC hearing or office service, and a medical appointment do not use the same process. Before asking for help, identify the setting, the date, the document involved, and whether the request concerns communication or a disability accommodation.

Our office is in Palmdale. Contact us at (661) 273-1780 or use the contact form to discuss a Stockton workers' compensation matter and the arrangements that may apply if the firm accepts representation. Whether the firm can take a matter is decided after an individual assessment.

Match the request to the setting

Keep the notice, appointment message, or hearing document with the request. The table separates three situations that are often treated as one.

Setting Useful first step Scope to keep in mind
DWC benefit or form question by phone Ask DWC's Information Services Center for language assistance when calling about workers' compensation benefits This is government information, not legal advice or a decision on the claim
DWC hearing, I&A service, or other DWC program If a disability affects access, ask the DWC disability accommodation coordinator about an accommodation request DWC says requests are decided case by case and relate to DWC programs and services
Medical treatment appointment or medical-legal examination Keep the appointment notice and ask the provider or claims administrator what language-support arrangement applies Interpreter qualification rules for these settings are separate from DWC office accommodations

The Department of Industrial Relations lists the Division of Workers' Compensation phone line for benefits for work-related injuries and illnesses at 1-800-736-7401. Callers can ask the DWC representative about the current language-assistance option for that call. The DWC Information and Assistance Unit also provides public information about rights, benefits, forms, and procedures.

Disability accommodation is a separate request

The DWC disability-accommodation page says that a person with a disability using DWC programs or services may request an auxiliary aid, service, or reasonable modification. The page lists examples that include devices for hearing impairments, computerized translation, and a sign-language interpreter. DWC directs people to the district-office disability accommodation coordinator or to 1-866-681-1459.

DWC says to make an accommodation request as soon as possible. For assistive listening devices or computerized translation services, the page says to request them no later than five days before a hearing. The page does not make every request automatic. Do not use a disability-accommodation request as a substitute for asking about language support for a medical appointment.

Medical appointments are not DWC office services

For a treating-physician appointment or medical-legal examination, save the appointment notice, provider name, claim-administrator contact, and any message about language support. California's interpreter-directory regulation identifies separate certification and registry references for interpreters used in medical treatment appointments and medical-legal exams. The regulation does not tell a worker that every request will be approved or specify a single request path for every claim.

That distinction matters. The Lodi district office and DWC Information and Assistance Unit can help with public system information. The provider or claims administrator is the more direct starting point for the arrangement connected to a specific medical appointment. Keep the appointment record and any response in the claim file.

Current DWC information for Stockton

On September 28, 2026, the official DWC ZIP code locator returned the Lodi district office for Stockton ZIP codes 95202, 95203, and 95206. The locator identifies an office serving the entered ZIP code. It does not decide venue for every claim.

The Lodi district office lists 3021 Reynolds Ranch Pkwy, Suite 130, Lodi, CA 95240, and main number (209) 948-7759. Its page lists an Information and Assistance Unit and DWC's online injured-worker workshops. A Stockton address does not automatically assign a court. Labor Code section 5501.5 includes residence, alleged injury or exposure location, and stated attorney-location conditions among possible filing bases.

Records to keep before making the request

  • The notice, appointment message, hearing document, or form that prompted the question.
  • Date, time, location or phone number, and claim number.
  • Current work-status report and relevant medical or claim letter.
  • Written messages about any requested communication support or accommodation.

The California workers' compensation consultation checklist can help organize the broader file. Contact (661) 273-1780 or use the contact form to discuss whether the firm can assess a Stockton workers' compensation matter.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the firm have a Stockton office?

No. The office is in Palmdale. Call (661) 273-1780 or use the contact form to discuss a California workers' compensation matter and the arrangements that may apply if the firm accepts representation.

Who can I call for language help with a DWC benefits question?

The Department of Industrial Relations lists DWC at 1-800-736-7401 for benefits for work-related injuries and illnesses. Ask the representative about the current language-assistance option for that call. DWC information is public system information, not legal advice or a claim decision.

Which DWC office did the locator return for Stockton ZIP codes 95202, 95203, and 95206?

On September 28, 2026, the official DWC ZIP locator returned the Lodi district office for all three ZIP codes. Recheck the official locator for another ZIP code or current office details. A locator result does not decide venue for every claim.

Does a Stockton address automatically decide where my workers' comp case is filed?

No. Venue depends on the facts and applicable rules. Labor Code section 5501.5 includes residence, alleged injury or exposure location, and in stated circumstances an attorney's principal business location among possible filing bases.

Is a DWC disability accommodation the same as language help for a medical appointment?

No. DWC disability accommodations concern access to DWC programs and services and are decided case by case. Interpreter qualification rules for medical treatment and medical-legal exams are separate. Keep the appointment notice and ask the provider or claims administrator about the arrangement for that appointment.
