DWC lists San Jose's WCAB office at 224 Airport Parkway, Suite 600, San Jose, CA 95110-3718, with the phone number 408-277-1246. Workers' compensation judges hold hearings there for cases venued in this part of the Bay Area, and the building also houses DWC's Disability Evaluation Unit and Information & Assistance Unit. A ZIP code locator can point you toward this office, but California law, not a ZIP code, actually decides where a case is heard. Check your own hearing notice, or call the office, to confirm your case belongs here.
This office is where the Division of Workers' Compensation (DWC) holds workers' compensation hearings for the San Jose area.
This is one of the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB) locations that DWC operates across California; see the full list of California WCAB district offices. The address, phone number, and hours below come from DWC's own San Jose district office page, checked October 14, 2026.

Want to double check this is the right office for you? DWC's ZIP code locator matches a five-digit ZIP code to a district office, mainly to help with filing forms. It is only a starting point. The next section explains the rule that actually decides where a case is heard.
Which cases go to the San Jose WCAB office?
Cases from San Jose and several nearby Santa Clara County cities are generally heard here, based on DWC's ZIP code assignments, but a specific law actually sets venue.
California Labor Code section 5501.5 says where an injured worker may file a workers' compensation case: in the county where they live on the date they file, in the county where the injury (or, for a cumulative injury, the last harmful exposure) happened, or, if an attorney represents them, in the county where that attorney's main office sits. Read the full text at leginfo.legislature.ca.gov. DWC's ZIP code assignments and locator tool are a helpful shortcut, but they do not override this statute.
Based on those ZIP code assignments, workers in the following cities usually have their hearings at this office:
Live, work, or got hurt somewhere else in the South Bay? Run your ZIP code through the locator tool above, or ask your attorney which office is actually holding your file.
What happens at this office?
Hearings happen here, and DWC also runs two support units out of the same building.
DWC's page names a Disability Evaluation Unit and an Information & Assistance Unit as based at this address, current as of the date checked above. Beyond the courtrooms and those two units, the office also puts on an injured worker workshop over Zoom: 3 p.m. on the first Friday of each month in English, and 3 p.m. on the third Friday of each month in Spanish. Workshop timing can shift, so confirm the current schedule on DWC's page rather than relying on this one.
Can you attend by video or phone?
Many hearing types are now held over video, although trials are still conducted in person.
DWC retired its old telephone conference lines for status conferences, mandatory settlement conferences, priority conferences, and lien conferences, moving them onto its CourtCall Video Platform instead. Trials, lien trials, and expedited hearings still happen in person. Each judge has a virtual courtroom on that platform, and the current access details are published on DWC's Virtual Courtroom Resources page and printed on your individual hearing notice. Those are the only two places to get a login link or call-in number; do not rely on one from anywhere else, since access details can change.
How do you get there, and is parking available?
DWC points riders toward VTA bus service and drivers toward its own directions page, and it lists free open-air parking at the building.
For anyone taking the bus, DWC's page links out to VTA for routes, schedules, and fares. For anyone driving, the page links to its own driving directions rather than a street-by-street description. DWC's page also states that free public parking is available in an open-air lot at the office. Build in extra travel time if you have not been to this location before.
What should you bring?
Bring your hearing notice and a photo ID, and plan your arrival around the building's posted hours.
Keep your hearing notice or any letter about the appointment with you, along with a photo ID, in case staff need to confirm who you are. DWC does not allow food or beverages in the waiting room or in the courtrooms, so plan to eat before you arrive. The lobby opens weekdays at 8:00 a.m. and closes at 5:00 p.m., and the calendar clerk can be reached Monday through Friday, holidays aside, from 8:15 to 11:45 a.m. and again from 1:15 to 4:45 p.m. Give yourself enough time to find the right courtroom before your hearing is set to start.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where is the San Jose WCAB office located?
DWC's own office page lists the address as 224 Airport Parkway, Suite 600, San Jose, CA 95110-3718, with the phone number 408-277-1246. These details were checked on October 14, 2026 against DWC's site, since an address or phone number can change.
Which Santa Clara County cities does this office serve?
DWC's ZIP code assignments route San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, and Milpitas to this office in most cases. That assignment is a practical pattern, not a legal ruling for every address, so confirm your own venue using the statute described above rather than relying on your city alone.
Does a ZIP code decide which WCAB office hears my case?
Not on its own. DWC's locator tool matches a ZIP code to a district office, mainly to help with filing forms, but Labor Code section 5501.5 is what actually sets venue: the county where you lived when you filed, the county where you were hurt (or last exposed, for a cumulative injury), or your attorney's main office county if you are represented. If your address and your case file point to different places, ask your attorney or the office listed on your notice which one controls.
Can I attend a San Jose WCAB hearing remotely instead of going in person?
For several common hearing types, yes. DWC moved status conferences, mandatory settlement conferences, priority conferences, and lien conferences onto its CourtCall Video Platform, while trials, lien trials, and expedited hearings are still set in person. Get your access link from DWC's Virtual Courtroom Resources page or from your own hearing notice, since those are the only current, verified sources.
What DWC units are based at the San Jose office?
DWC's page names a Disability Evaluation Unit and an Information & Assistance Unit at this address, in addition to the hearing courtrooms. The office also hosts a monthly injured worker workshop by Zoom, held in English and in Spanish on different Fridays, as of the date checked above.
Does Yazdchi Law have an office inside this WCAB building?
No. Yazdchi Law P.C. is based only in Palmdale and does not keep space inside this building or anywhere else in the South Bay. The firm can still be asked to review a California workers' compensation case connected to this office at (661) 273-1780 or through the contact form, with every matter reviewed individually.
